Hi, I’m Kayla Frost. I’m 20 years old.
I started Twenty as a yearlong project to bring clean, safe water to people in need by collaborating with artists and musicians. Through this website, I will release and sell songs and artwork donated by the contributors throughout the year of 2011. All proceeds will be donated to a non-profit called “charity: water” that uses 100% of public donations to fund water solutions, such as freshwater wells, in developing nations. Only $20 can provide one person clean water through a sustainable water project.

We are lucky:
I had a great childhood, untroubled by sicknesses caused by contaminated water. I spent time on the playground, not trekking miles to the nearest water source. With almost a billion people in the world suffering from a lack of clean and safe water, I can’t just sit back when there are ways I can help.
That’s my mom and me when I was 3.
As people fortunate enough to have our basic needs met, all of us can do something to help—regardless of cultural divides, geographical divides, or any divide for that matter. The people helped by Twenty might be oceans away from us, but we are all human. Their problems might seem remote from us, but they are still important.
Goal of the Twenty Project:
My goal with Twenty is to raise at least $5,000 to fund a minimum of one water project. A $5,000 well serves 250+ people. That’s millions of people short of the billion people in need of clean water, but it’s still 250 people. Every person matters.
When you purchase a song or artwork through Twenty, 100% of the proceeds go to charity: water, unless otherwise stated. It’s like you’re donating directly to charity: water, except you get art in return. Even buying a song for $1 gets someone clean water for a year. Every dollar matters.
