Around this time last year, I landed in New York City for the first time. After dashing from the plane to the subway and then into a cab, I arrived at the charity: ball just after it started. (So lucky my flight wasn’t delayed, or else I would’ve missed it!) I really wish I could’ve attended again this year. charity: water raised $2.5 MILLION dollars from more than 2,200 guests in one night, more than doubling last year’s amount of $1 million. Wow! I’m so happy for their success.
Though my Twenty Project is soon coming to a close, you bet I’ll be fundraising for charity: water in the future or perhaps even getting more involved with an internship. I love their mission. Every person on this planet deserves clean and safe water. It’s such a basic need. I hope everyone reading this realizes what a big impact they can make on somebody’s life just by donating to charity: water.
